Have you made your Fourth of July plans yet?! Whether you’re throwing a huge Fourth of July bash or just having a few friends and/or family members over for a backyard cookout before going to watch the fireworks, we have some tips for a smashing celebration you won’t soon forget.
Decorations Are Everything
There’s no such thing as too much red, white, and blue on the Fourth of July! Go all out with festive napkins, plates, banners, balloons, and any other decor you can fit in your backyard. The fourth is also one of the only days of the year when an over-the-top red, white, and blue outfit is acceptable, so do it up!
DIY Instagram-worthy Photo Booth
Pics or it didn’t happen! Set up your own photo booth or backdrop to capture all the great memories from the day’s festivities, and don’t forget the props! Sunglasses, hats, jewelry, and other accessories complete the festive look—and rack up more likes!
Keeping Food Safe Outside
If you’re hosting an outdoor soiree, you’ll want to make sure that your food stays cool—especially in the humid NC summer heat! Place cold food in a closed cooler with ice, and replenish the ice throughout the evening to ensure nothing goes bad.
One hack that we love to use to keep charcuterie boards cool is to take a couple of pool swim noodles (you can find them at The Dollar Tree for cheap), cut them lengthwise, and put them along the edges of the table. Then, secure the noodles with a piece of tape, top them with a tarp, and fill it with ice. Put another tarp on top of the ice and then a tablecloth. Set your platters and boards on your new surface that will now stay cool for hours. ❄️
Cool Down With a Dip In the Pool
Don’t have a pool? No problem! Blow-up pools aren’t just for the kiddos anymore—there are tons of grown-up inflatable pools on the market now! Fill ‘er up with cold water before your guests arrive and stay cool all night long.
Sparklers—A Must!
It’s no Fourth of July party without sparklers. Set them out when the sun goes down to light up the night sky and end your party on a good note.
Set the Table With Brie Kind Charcuterie, Of Course
One thing’s for sure, your Fourth of July party needs Brie Kind charcuterie! Order a classic or artisan board—or boxes, cones, or cups—to really impress your guests and keep them fed and happy all day long. Or, use our “How to Build a Charcuterie Board Digital Guide” to make your own charcuterie board creation—heavy on the red (grapes, strawberries, raspberries), white (dragon fruit, cheese, flowers), and blue (blueberries, blackberries), of course!
Please note: We are closed Fourth of July weekend; orders must be placed by June 30, 2021.
Chapel Hill Fourth of July Celebration

We’re able to custom-design our charcuterie creations to fit with any and all of your Fourth of July plans. Let’s celebrate with great cheese, meats, wine, and company!
